We are pleased to announce the commissioning of the AIS Tengu, the first of our new Goliath-Class Support Frigates to roll off the production lines. Perfect for use as a Tender ship or dedicated Fighter Defense vessel, we are confident in the Goliath Class Support Frigate's ability to meet your support craft needs.
Weighing in at 7,533 units of mass, the Goliath Class is 142 meters long with a beam width of 53 meters and height of 47 meters. Capable of generating over a million units of energy a second, and storing up to 8.5 million units of power, the Goliath Class is capable of beaming 75% of its energy production per second to a served craft, a respectable 750,000 units!
Despite its bulk, the Goliath Class Support Frigate features a 2/1 thrust to mass ratio divided over five thrust nacelles, helping it better to stay out of the line of fire, as well as one million units of shielding to stay in the fight through stray hits.
Defensive appointments are provided for with 21 Quik-Stop Mini ADA defensive batteries, guaranteed to stop harassing fighters in their tracks! Offering additional defensive fire coverage are five double-barreled Flakmaster Antimatter turrets. Utilizing the proven "Stop and Bop" defensive method, the Goliath Class is able to bring its primary weapons to bear when covering your assets.
Primary weapon systems on board the Goliath Class include two Avalanche spreadcannon emplacements, a powerful armor-penetrating spinal cannon, an array of built-in Flakmaster Antimatter cannons, as well as a 16 unit bank of Lok-N-Go Ship-to-Ship missiles.
To allow for additional mission flexibility the Goliath Class is also equipped with a considerably sized hangar bay and by default is host to six internally housed "Locust" snub fighters, as well as a docking point designed to accommodate much larger fighter craft and fleet vessels.
Minimally armed and shielded, these nimble craft are perfect for presence and security patrols around your fleet movements, as well as medium range scouting missions, and in a pinch automated harassment attacks on vulnerable hostile vessels.
Another convenience feature, the aft of the ship is equipped with two auxiliary ship bays with available recharging station to help accommodate service and repairs of smaller vessels, as well as resupply of ships too large to benefit from the built-in power supply technologies.
