Something that would be great is advanced navigation. Be able to pull up a map that would show several sectors at a time. Perhaps have a way to name a planet and be able to find it even if your several sectors away.

I wonder why this hasn\'t gotten any more attention.
We really need some way of showing us a direct waypoint - so we can fly in straight lines more intead of sector-to-sector.

such a map does exist in game, press \'shift p\'. however it does not have sector or XYZ axis indicators,, nor can you use it to select waypoints. it Has potential, but it is more or less useless as is . please see my thread, \"Galactic map (shift p) improvements\"
