Advanced Building.

I was looking for some advanced builders that could explain how to use the Advanced Building. Symmetry Building Planes and Odd-Sym Mode, to be exact. I know how to rotate or make larger zones than 1x1 of blocks, but I do not know what those -named above- are for. If anyone could explain those, I would appreciate it.
