Just a simple suggestion here, but one that would aid in refitting and creating ships a bit.
A filter that turns all blocks aside from the user designated choice transparent. Combined with the remove filter this would allow easier refits of ships without stripping the entire thing down, and make it easier to get a good overview of the guts of a ship.
