Activities to do with faction mates

    Seriously though I would say, working together towards common Goals...
    considering, SM is about building space stuff and then using / implementing what you have built, that the best activity is working out plans for builds and how to implement them... and of course actually build and implement it, i.e. build your SM universe.

    It may be necessary to define what a faction is or represents... and ask yourself, "what do you want to do most?" then try to find others that want to do different things, so that it all fits together and forms a "Faction", because tbh... a group of builders that only "mine and build" or a group that only PVPs all the time does not embody what a Faction actually represents: "people with different roles working together towards common goals".

    Roles...(insert stuff here)

    I guess this all takes the game towards RP, but it is a "space sim" in many ways after all, so in a respect, even the "non-RPers" are roleplaying.

    Considering there are 4096 sektors in a single system, there is really alot to do in SM, populating your Faction territory for starters.
    Unfortunately many only build a few stations and a shipyard, which are never completed.

    To round this up quickly I am going to say that the biggest "WOW" factor ingame is: "Cool-Space-Stuff", i.e. "Eye-Candy".
    Realistic looking Space Stuff is überCool! ^^

    On that note I will leave off on "build your SM universe", together!

    An active administration working together with the player-base would of course be a big help making it a reality on public servers... new NPC factions, Gallactic Law etc...
    But this is a big debate that needs a seperate thread... bad Admin etc...

    Build a race on your station, activate gravity modules, build 3x5x3 racecars. - Have a race. :)

    Build a shooting arena with gravity, have hovercrafts that act like real cannons (with missiles), and others that act like snipers. Use undeathinator modules on each side and get your teammates used to a green and red skin.

    Build a chess game and use it.

    Build a beginner dock for your station with public factories and docked rooms inside a hostel block that can be claimed.

    Make warpgates that are publicly accessible with codes and make agreements with other factions for sharing the codes. Each faction in the network is listed next to the warpgate computer.

    I almost always have a lasertag area on my faction base and have enjoyed many rounds of faction FFA lasertag. (I don't recall who, but someone once made an awesome arena using a shipyard to load in new terrain... so cool. I think it was one of the Rus).

    Internal fighter duels for fun are great too.

    Mining ops - Eve style; couple guys in heavy miners and 1 or 2 flying escort cruisers, plus a lot of small chat.

    Recon/raids are kind of fun... if you like starting wars...

    Joint build or decoration projects are fun too - slap a few build blocks onto a ship or secondary station and go nuts. Either divide it up by areas or systems, or put some people on systems others on decor others on hull & wedge work.

    As long as you are using chat or voice and doing something together that isn't super uptight... it'll usually be fun.

    IDK. I am a lone-wolfer but I occasionally have a faction mate. i guess we just sorta build and then mine and build - sorta the only thing Starmade is good for atm.
