Simple enough, a block that fires a beam that activates whatever it hits. Can itself be activated by logic, so use to send logic to docked ships rail bits, annoy your neighbors.

Basically what the core beam is now, but hits docked rail things and is it's own separate block.

Yep, we need this. It seems too obvious and silly to not have it.

Maybe have it where you connact a locgic activator to a core or something?

currently an activation block placed next to a docking module will active when a ship is docked ,
if it was made so that if that activation block was triggered by a logic signal it would also activate another activation block placed next to the docked ships core it would allow sending logic signals to a docked ship without requiring any new blocks

Yeah, just make the docking beam do it.
But you'd have more options with a separate block if it behaved like some sort of directional gun.

One thing they would be very useful for is activating logic sequences or other devices on docked bodies, it would open up a wealth of possibilities.

Exactly how is this different from the docking beam? It is able to be used as a docking beam or an activator beam depending on what mouse button you hit. Functionality to trigger activator blocks will be added later.

Edit: Nevermind I get it now, you want a block that acts like the other beams /salvage whatnot that fires it's own activator signal when you trigger it. A form of wireless wireless communication that can work between docked ships. I certainly approve, while you can detect when a ship lands on a dock you don't have any control beyond that. My MAMMOTH would benefit from this as it has two separate functions docked ships have to control.

This'd be even more useful now; like wireless logic but it'd make rail stuff that needs to be aligned in some way easier and more reliable.
