    I disagree with some of them, purely because a Miner the mass of 70 should not be classified as a Fast Attack Craft, simply because it cannot attack. And Frigates, I thought, were just storage and transfer ships.

    HadrasVorshoth; probably at the very bottom (or very top, if that\'s your thing ;) ), read below;

    TheMasterofFate; the reason why I left out the other two gods was because they had no decernable \'powers;\' what they had IMO bordered on ship roles not ship classes.

    Box of Crayons; good for you ;) all mine (will be/were/are going to be) Planetoids and Titans as well

    CrusadeDeleters; stick to the greek side then ;)

    Big fan of this system, would be nice if it became the \"official\" way to classify ships.

    Frigates are light military vessels, usualy used to support larger ships and fleets. And also, if a miner with a mass of 70 isnt a Fast attack craft, dont classify it as one, These are just genralized classes, Their will always be be an exception.

    Wooha. Before i found this, i\'ve been working on a set of ships that share a commonly likewise design, and gave them names from greek mythology (and pantheon). If they work fine i might upload them.

    Depends on what you want as a class. I regard every ship based on its role. If its not purpose is not to escorting or protecting other ships, it\'s not a frigate or if its not faster then me and can\'t turn as fast as me and not protecting a task group it\'s not a destroyer. I class it as a small or big warship or transport and to real world classifications.

    A rose by any other name would shatter a planet just as easily.

    I would call the biggest of the big ships, \"Galaxy\" (one of my favorite ships ever) or \"Infinity\" (not Halo a super fan, but the human ships are spiffy) \"Lexx\" maybe? Or the \"Executor class\"

    If you haven\'t seen it or its various incarnations the starship size comparison chart is nifty, if a bit dated.

    or just google it.

    Anyway, I might not agree with the names/classifications picked but I vehemently agree that we need a standard one supported by Schema, and maybe even auto classified ships in game. That way you can tell if the HMS_Fuzzy_Kitten on your map is a fighter or superdestroyer. It could have drop down menus with selections for either military or civilian, though that could be exploited, so maybe military only.

    Deus Machina, or Deus ex Machina, or just Deus. Machine from/of god sounds right for the biggest of the big ships. For ultimate one-upmanship put the name into the game, but only one ship per server may have it at a time. Then watch in horror as servers start toppling like dominoes while people constantly try to build bigger ships. Or maybe not one per server...

    Do you think you could stop spamming this on classification threads? It\'d be much appreciated.

    ..... this says it all better

    Ships are defined by their role not mass, saying that mass is the primary factor of classification is like saying the alphabet should really start with the letter \'J\'

    Calibri is a well established member of the Starmade community and is famous for building some pretty big ships. Hence Calibri class is used.

    Absolutely love the list you came up with, Nameless. I know there\'s been different classes over time, but this seems to be the best one so far that I\'ve seen. It also fits perfectly with Morhe\'s docking guide, which makes it even better. Officially adopting it for the Cult of the Green Sun, and I\'ll try pushing it to other factions on star.the-rebel-alliance.com:4242
