As some of you may know I've been using my own ship classification system for some time. At the request of the Furb I've decided to post it here for all to see.
A Nameless Ship Classification System

Ad addendum
Just wanted to add a general thanks to all those who have appreciated my small contribution. In my absence; I've taken the liberty of verifying that my class does indeed work.
The table you see below reflects this.
A Nameless Cubic Classification System
Light Weight
[*]Corvette (Demeter-Class): 100.1 - 254.8 mass
[*]Frigate (Ares-Class): 254.9 - 583.2 mass
[*]Destroyer (Apollo-Class): 583.3 - 722.0 mass
Medium Weight
[*]Pocket Battleship (Hermes-Class): 1,440.1 - 2,979.1 mass
[*]Battlecruiser (Artemis-Class): 2,979.2 - 4,928.4 mass
[*]Carrier (Athena-Class): 4,928.5 - 7,585.2 mass
Heavy Weight
[*]Dreadnought (Poseidon-Class): 24,217.3 - 100,000.0 mass
[*]Titan (Zeus-Class): 100,000.1 - 500,021.1 mass
[*]Planetoid (Kronos-Class): 500,021.2 and beyond
Questions? Comments? Suggestions? As it stands my classification system attempts to categorize the Greek Pantheon according to their power while providing a balanced systems for each weight class. It also serves as a dual naming system for both non-military/military ship types. In addition I've provided the minimally-sized dimensions for a cube that reflects both extremes of a class within my class system.
Good Luck and Happy Building!
