So I'm new and ive a had a looka t a few forum topics and ive seen refernces to different ship classes (figher, destroyer, corvette, capital etc) i was wondering, what actually difines one class from another? is it a length, hight, width thing? or a mass thing? or even the things inside (Ie shielding ans weapons)?

If anyone can answer this I'd be vert greatfull and I'm sure it will help others to have a diffinitive difference between the classes.

Most systems seem to use mass, which should be somwhere in the block of text on the left of your screen when in build mode.

Ships classes don\'t really matter at the moment. It\'s just building the biggest ships and spamming the most blocks, cause that\'s how you \"win\".

people atm want classes for there ship so that they cn almost instaly see what weigt/size/fuction they are.this is handy when everyone follows it, hoever there are a few difrent classes and not all the guidelines are the same

so here are the most comonly used ones so that you can refrence it

That\'s the only contest block spamming will get you a big \'W\'. Bigger doesn\'t mean better. Just means larger target to focus on. If you build them right and fly them right is much more important than their size.

The update gives smaller ships a fighting chance, but in a 1v1 duel in empty space with limited speed a figha small ship will be at a profound disadvantage against a very big ship. The big ship doesn\'t turn that much slower and a couple hits and it is over; see the vector analysis thread to get the picture.

There\'s no agreed-upon class system yet. Terms such as fighter, battleship etc are a little vague - it is best to use the ship\'s mass to compare.
