A coupla stoopid questions...

    -So, if the recipe for X costs 5000 of that item, and the average shop sells less than 100 of 'em, and there's no way within the game to obtain more, that would mean you have to visit 50+ shops and buy all of their stock to make, for example, a certain kind of hull piece.

    Obviously, only someone with OCD would put up with that, so how do you REALLY get a recipe for something you want to manufacture?

    -When using the 10 x 10 grid to place or remove blocks in build mode, I feel like I'm playing pin the tail on the donkey with a shotgun. Is there some way to control this that I haven't figured out, or is that just an "alpha" thing to be ironed out later?

    -Why can't you enter a build block placed on an asteroid? Seems to me one of the more obvious places to try to make a base. "alpha thing", again?

    -And since build blocks don't line up power, how do you link sheilds to power for shielding a base?

    -So far, I've seen planets (in a few flavors), shops, pirates, traders, pirate stations and empty space stations. Anything else to see at this time, or should I just stay tuned for the next update?

    1) I don\'t think so. Presumeably, you simply spawn the turret or ship in exchange for credits, regardless as to what the shop has in stock.

    2) That\'s harder to answer because it is very probably has something to do with the way you\'re using the tool and/or the limitations of the gui making certain things counter intuitive.

    3) I don\'t know.

    4) As long as they are all part of the same structure, they don\'t need to be connected. Build a base. Give it power. Put a block of shields somewhere, anywhere, and the shields will protect the structure. Same for ships.

    5) Stay tuned, I imagine. The mechanics and systems are higher priority than art assets atm, I imagine.

    Thanks for answering, but I don\'t understand you on #1. Spawn the ship or turret? I have no recipes, and no manufacturing set up. I\'d like to manufacture hull blocks. But when I go to a shop, I\'m told that it\'ll cost me 5000 of whatever item up front to get the recipe. If I could get the item by the thousands, why would I need the recipe in the first place? What am I missing about getting recipes and setting up a factory?

    is set by the server admin, I have my server set to 5 blocks per recipe due to that very issue.

    Yes, I hope the recipe systems gets redone, sooooon. It\'s very backwords and counter-intuitive. It\'d be like in MineCraft, if you had to find/have players give you 5,000 diamond pickaxes to \"trade\" for a recipe before you are allowed to build a diamond pickaxe, and when get the recipe, you found it\'s simple as placing 2 dirt in your inventory! >.>
