Did some simple shield testing.
One core, one shield. It takes 20 seconds to fill the shield, and it drains 10 energy per second to do so, leaving your load at ~19819. 200 energy to fill the shield, mitigated by the 1 regen of the core.
Seems unintentional, since I had to place 125 shield blocks on my tiny 1 mass shuttle to actually see any drain with it's 1100 regen.
