Based on the ideas of "ejecting" power cores and destroyed ships "breaking apart" to create debris fields, I think Starmade would benefit from a new game mechanic where parts of the ship are cut from the ship and pasted into an "asteroid"-style entity that can be thrown from the ship or drift...

Just a quick suggestion to add to universe generation; Debris Fields. Simply, a sector full of derelict ships, and/or parts of ships, that would behave like asteroids. They would spawn mostly in asteroid belts, and rarely elsewhere. Also, with the new fauna update coming up, this could be a...
