What are main differences betweens space station and ship? I mean if I just create huge ship to use it as mobile space station, what do I loose?

If players are standing on the ship, they will eventually fell off into space when ship starts moving, even on low speed (< 50 km/h) That happens when gravity is on and even if player is in closed space (he gets "teleported" into space through walls).
