People like you will be the death of this game.
The same kind of people who defended Docked Reactors, "because they made the game more complex!". And thankfully those are pretty much gone now unless somebody wants them on their custom server. It was ridiculous to tell people that they needed...
Having to lay down reactors in anything other than the same way capacitors can be placed is just uneeded complexity for the sake of complexity. It serves no purpose. Having to lay them down in XYZ lines to get the biggest bonus out of them is one of the largest complaints I hear from new...
As others have said, Id love to see all the different colored blocks removed from the game, and only have grey blocks. Id love to be bale to just float around my ships with a special painting tool that can color large or small areas along the XYZ axis like placing blocks in build mode and color...
Now that we have auxillery power blocks, we just need to get rid of reactors needing to be placed down in XYZ lines,, and instead be able to just be put down in large groups like capacitors, and we'll be good to go.
I think the missile energy usage per output was reduced because now we have some pretty decent PD/AMS turret cababilities. So missiles arent he end all, be all weapon they used to be if you have a good setup to defend against them. Sure its pretty easy to get missile spam through somebodys...
Massive "waffle guns" that use hardly any energy would be horrifying to see used by everyone. Waffle cannons, waffle beams, waffle missiles. It would be brutal.
Ill second and third and fourth the whole "reducing weapon damage is bad" thing.
If you think fighting bigger ships than your ship is already unfair now, wait till you LITERALLY cant even put a dent in them, while their hugely bloated weapons systems can still put out good damage.
One of my biggest complaints with making things out of rails, or making turrets, is how things rely on a single, tiny block to make that connection. You lose that block and your entire assembly and everything attached to it comes flying off the ship.
What I want is basically the ability to have...
Will their be rules to the "donor teleport"?
I can remember multiple times on the old EE where people abused it to teleport away when in danger, or instantly teleport across the galaxy with a large ship to harrass people and teleport back home safely, even though doing things like that was...
The thing I want most is to be able to have wireless on/off switches connected to each turret Booby AI, so that I can set up proper turret groupings and turn them off and on at will.
So I can have things like a high power usage turret that I keep off most times, but switch everything else off...
What if when you are selecting blocks to make the output, if you select side by side blocks in the same group, the beam itself gets bigger as you select more blocks, up to a certain limit? Damage is less concentrated and it spread out in a bigger beam, and uses up more energy as well.
But then...
Okay so lets take a look here then shall we.
-they essentially cheat and bypass a limit placed into the game by the devs to gain ludicrous power recharge rates up into the 10's of millions in a relatively small amount of space
-they can be "complicated" to make and balance by new players...
Ever seen a large ship in a fight lose an internally docked reactor because something punched right through deep into the ship and hit the docking blocks?
Server wide lag, and everyone in the sector reduced to 1fps as the physics calculations freak out and try to phase the reactor through the...
Dont try to make it seem like its a massive feat of engineering. Once you know how the game works, and people tell you that docked reactors are a thing you need to do to bypass an arbitrary limit placed in the game, they are pretty easy to build.
And anybody can just go download a blueprint for...
If turrets needed their own shielding like before turrets would be dying instantly. Even to give your turret somethign like 100,000 shielding takes up a massive amount of space. It would be ridiculous to go back to that horrible system.
