It would be awesome if we could set the maximum turn angle for Turret Rails.
By selecting them with R you can set the maximum angle they are allowed to turn to each side, to stop collision lag when turret parts collide to each other or the ship.
It would also be awesome if the AI on the barrel...

I have a relatively simple suggestion regarding the rail docking system.
This will only add 1 block and remove another.
Remove the counter clockwise rail rotator.
Instead use a "Rail Reversal block" which you link to a Rail or Rail rotator.
Activate the Rail or Rotator and they will move in...
I've been waiting for this new turret system for a long time so I can make the turrets I always wanted for my ship.
I've made a Rail turret with a cylindrical base and barrel.
The first one I made was too big and didn't fit my ship design but it worked.
Now I made a smaller version of it but...
I'm having the same issue, when the AI tries to turn the turret further than it can go it will start shaking and it causes my fps to drop down to 20 where before it was 300.
I was busy buying parts for my ship when suddenly all my Power generator blocks had changed into Shield dispensers.
I didn't see what happened but I had 1054 Power generators on #3 and ~800 Shield Dispensers on #2, and suddenly I had ~800 Shield dispensers on #2 and 1054 Shield dispensers on #3.
