      Actually it is 2 times your speed limit. So if your speed limit is 200, the missile will travel at 400.

      Very true, I usually try and hit capitals or planets. Plus they are good for scaring the living s**t out of a fighter pilot.

      I don't know how they shields vs missiles work, but I do know that in large numbers, d1000's can be frightening. I've made launchers that can chew trough 1.5 million shields and then the entire ship and out the other side, in one volley. My strategy is a couple hundred 10x10x10 cubes of d1000's.

      Well I also put power tanks on my 1200 mass corvette. It would not be able to fire it's weapons without them.

      What are you talking about? Almost all of my ships have boatloads of powertanks on them. Once I get above ~one million blocks, I have a minimum of one billion power storage.

      Actually the range is the converging distance. At least for the D1000's. If the target is closer than that distance, the missiles will converge on the aiming point like antimattter cannons. I think.

      Powerdrain beams are bugged, they don't out put from the forward block. It's completely random.

      Drainers have such short range though, it's not really worth it.

      Adding more blocks would just decrease the thrust-mass ratio, Plus I don't know how much of a factor the 20,000 power storage default was. Would be interesting to test.

      Like the guy above me said, with enough missiles, the enemy's shields become overwhelmed. I had one ship that could take out a 1mil shields heavy cruiser in one salvo. I think it was 360 1000 block launchers. Anything caught in the cloud when I launched would be vaporized.
