Another way to do it, instead of spontanious combustion if you try to collide with a station or something related, every warp to a sector has a random deviant & spawns you somewhere away from all objects in the sector. wether its in a sector nearby, or whatnot.

There will never be any value to armor thickness due to it always adding to the mass & requiring more thrust and whatnot.
Oh, and don\'t forget about most cannons one-shotting hardened hull. that extra layer you took ages to add takes 1/10th of a second to remove.
getting my shields destroyed by a 100 block ship when im at least 100 times the size of it is what should occur?

AMC\'s scaled *3 better than shields. they were far from unbreakable.

best shield regen? 256 blocks. 0.5 recovery of a decent 12kish...
