Thank you, I actually hadn't considered that to be honest.

      Universe Update Roadmap #1

When StarMade gives you a limitation, it is often possible to build around that limitation. That's part of the fun of this game. If you don't want the dock to come from the ship, you could make it come from the base instead. Hope this helps.

      Balancing blocks gut-check

No. Yes. No. When the weapon hits, all four would take the full 1000 damage EACH. Blocks would not mitigate any of the damage since they all simultaneously take the same amount of damage. In your example, all four blocks would be destroyed. The point of this is to eliminate the armor...

      Universe Update Roadmap #1

that sounds like you want a extendable rail docker. As far as I know thats not possible. Only the rail docker on the parent ship will allow a ship to dock to something. A second rail docker on a rail does nothing. Like I said, a invisible/intangible rail docker would solve this by it...

      Universe Update Roadmap #1

Thank you very much for this, I'll have to check it out when I can. I was thinking of a dock that worked similar to how the doors work. It's actually there, and you can pass through it, but unlike a door, it still functions as a dock whether or not you see it. I'd have a feature on my ship...

Need a little help with Rail/Logic for a flight deck

...more docking points you have, the better. For mine, I use logic to switch the launch rails into pickup rails. The pickup rail, the intangible rails, the shootout rails, they're all flippable with logic. So what I do is my rails default to pickup position, pointing in. Then I have my...

Weapon Immunity for Stabilizer Stream Nodes

Second in my list of minor corrections and fixes for power 2.0 is the survivability of nodes. The streams are, in themselves, vulnerable. This is compounded by the fact that nodes can be destroyed. Routing the streams is a volatile process, destroying a single node can easily make a stream pass...

TDP system or best know as Travel-Dock-Point for stations

      - One thing is to talk about the AI-controlled ships, which keep their last point of dock, and another to be able to create TPDs; I mean, they would be completely separate things ... while the AI-controlled ships would use the actual pick-up rails, the TDP system would dock any ship that enters...

Fleet Docking Order and New Pickup Point Block

I'm not sure. I've been using this method for a while now and haven't had issues, but will investigate to be sure. It definitely needs to be addressed, although steeling ships can be done a number of different ways. I would love a flexible option where we can also leave the dockers completely...

Fleet Docking Order and New Pickup Point Block

I was told that capping your rail docker is ineffective since pickup points/rails are intangible. Did they fix that? If not, The best way to fix this once and for all would be to require public permission blocks adjacent to your rail docker to allow docking on out-of-faction structures. So...

TDP system or best know as Travel-Dock-Point for stations

The station wouldn't be a problem. The problem is when someone uses a pickup rail or any rail with a public permissions module on it to snag one of your fleet AI ships while it's idle or moving to another location. It's a common theft tactic used in multi-player. Normally, I'd recommend a...

      StarMade v0.199.654 - Exploit fixes

Screen sharing does usually not help, we need to make it happen on our systems. Either computer directly or on the testserver, as we can monitor the environment and java processes in more detail there to find the exact cause. Thank you for the help, but general descriptions do not really lead...

      StarMade v0.199.654 - Exploit fixes

I've found that with large semi-occluded objects on rails the "rail freeze" desync happens "somewhat often". That translates to "a matter of time each session" on one particular build. I'll horse around on my current build over the weekend and see if I can make trigger conditions more reliable...

Blocks Break When not attached to the main ship

If we would have to use invisible intangible blocks to keep our creations working we could use area trigger blocks, pick up rails or other blocks like this

More Hotswapping with Non-Rail Related Blocks

While I like the idea, it should be noted that it is possible to have a pickup-rail/rail-basic combo that passes through a door. It's somewhat limited; in that you must use one of 3 specific building methods to pull it off but it works well once constructed. Option 1) Build your pickup rail...

More Hotswapping with Non-Rail Related Blocks

Something I'd like to see is the ability to use logic driven hotswapping to bring in/trade out blocks that *aren't* rails. Specifically, I'd like to see doors be something we can swap in/out, so that I can have a pickup rail going into a docking bay for ships that don't have the docker on the...

Stop docked entity undock due to damage

Fairly straightforward proposal - lets get rid of the fact that turrets and docked entities undock when the rail they're docked to/their docker gets destroyed. It's completely ridiculous for numerous reasons, primarily the fact that client performance immediately crashes worse than 1929 when a...

How to make other stations secure - Discussion Thread ***PLAYER SOLUTIONS ONLY!***

Lucky you, I'm playing right now. =) Warheads can break intangible rails if they are part of the same entity. Ships and warheads on those ships can pass right through intangible rails on other entities.

      This is my Starmade.

Starmade; a place where long sticks generate power, weapons poke holes through solid blocks of steel, and detached objects can magically move alongside the object they fell off without any evident form of propulsion. Hello, I am Crusade. This document will provide an insight into my playstyle...

      Docking on Landing Gears

I've been considering landing gear on my latest big build cruiser as well, actually. What I've come up with is the retractable landing gear with the docker on the belly of the ship. I'll then dock it using pickup rails. That way I can have the docker be in the middle or even back of the ship...
