We're getting an entirely new set of pirate ships, Trading Guild ships, and even an entirely new AI faction (with its own fleet) with the future AI updates.

...If this is what efficient, rewarding, and satisfactory mining mechanics look like in this game (And it is), then obviously they need to be reworked. The great thing about Alpha, is that crappy mechanics can be changed, if someone offers a superior proposal and it gets heard.

StarMade sequel? Perhaps when AI tech and computer hardware are up to it, we can see what things look like a little closer to home... I suspect that this "civilized utopia" must have a dark side.

What if mining worked totally differently? What if that one little asteroid you watched some noob mine had as much resources as a plate of a planet, but it also took a lot longer to extract the resources? And that planet you are casually wiping out of existence simply passively generated...

Schemes like this that try to balance things to player counts are bad, and tend to just encourage one-man factions. What is the use of joining someone else's faction when you both just end up more vulnerable for doing so?

The Kaier-Verien-class Light Salvage Vessel has been updated! It now has a larger cargo bay, improved hull, and upgraded thrust systems. (Oh, and the upper deck of the interior isn't as ugly any more...)

Yeah. I do like the new system (Wait, how is editing thrusters tiring? It's literally one of the simplest UIs in the game) but I feel there just isn't quite enough thrust to work with. :|

I remember a councillor saying this as well, which is why I looked in the block configs... Lo and behold, there is a tag for "slabs" with 3 other block IDs under each block that has slabs. Attempting a /giveid with these numbers worked, though the resulting slabs disappear immediately after...
