The economic template that polkunus desires is similar to that in EVE. But you have to keep in mind, eve has 6 basic materials in varifying quantities to create ships. Starmade has >30 basic materials/low level produced consumables, and some 5-6 new materials introduced with every new tech level...

In my earlier post i mentioned that when hit with the scrambler beam there is a penalty. the penalty disables the warp drive for a few minutes. Oh, my mistake.

It is of course a beam, when a ships charges for warpspeed it should give off clear particles making it easy for players to see if theyre warping and scramble them. Mr_Burkes said that those scramblers areto disrupt the charge of a spaceship going into warpspseed Whats to stop the pilot...

I dont mind the multi-posts. Scramblers are a difficult thing to include. Is it a radius? a beam? And whats the point of it/a timer if the player sees a hostile 3km++ away?

For energy, i\'d say more like 500-1000 e/p sector for warpdrives.

I totally agree with the mapping. A player shouldnt see the entire universe that someone else has explored unless that explorer shares the data. But for FTL, im supporting a warpgate convention. Around the universe are generated jumpgates that, when used, will throw you, lets say, 50-100...

Sanqk, Yes they do. But thats no problem for an attacker. If you plan on attacking this ship you\'ll have to go through the shields anyway. It\'s entirely the builders perogative if he decides to defend the vast majority of his power generator or not.

Starmade has a higher system requirement than Minecraft, especially when planets/calibiri-classes are loading. The shaders that are loaded are more extensive than MC, which has been indicated by folk who cannot play due to shader/driver issues, but who can play MC properly. When normally...
