I agree fully. With this, conquering enemy sectors will become a lot more interesting, as will protecting one's own home sector. Not to mention the ability to have escort vessels actually accompany players' ships. I await the day when the sweeping form of my cruiser no longer must venture into...

I'm of the opinion that a chair should be an invisible block that the player sits "in" so that their bum is on the block below it... That way, chairs remain fully customizable.

My chair idea would allow for this. You could link multiple computers to a chair, so one person could fly and fire the main weapons, and another could man the missile launcher and kinetic beams.

Actually, it only takes up either the same amount of IDs as any other set of blocks, or just one more that acts as a placeholder and collision box for the protruding front end's model. So yeah, it -could- be done.

Nope. Not only do you need a ton of those to work on larger ships, but they also turn off automatically when you leave your ship unless you use logic to quickly turn them back on. So no.

I know what's possible... But how much of it is practical and isn't an inferior, clumsier version of an existing feature (missiles, for instance.)? Sure, it can be really amazing, but is it practical, besides as an automatic door opener and the like?

Gravity needs no expansion. It's cool to have floating ships around a planet. Otherwise... Yes.

Ugh... This crap is why I'm thankful that my main ships use ice crystals still. Not only do I get wedges, but ice crystal is far less likely to spontaneously become annoying to obtain in larger quantities.
