      I haven't run into a sun once... However, setting multiple waypoints seems like a natural feature to have. The trick is just optimizing the UI/UX stuff involved with it so it doesn't end up being cumbersome to manage them.

      There is a fairly major bug in the dev builds (unless it was fixed...) where turrets and rails can randomly get rotated... If the pickup rails are affected, that might affect any attempts to fix the texture orientations on those.

      Eh, this would actually be really annoying in combat, but I could see other purposes for being able to throttle your auto dampeners to a different % of your thrust. The current default setting is incredibly weak.

      A lot of the responses here confuse me... The OP is not suggesting the removal of the catalogue system, just spawnable blueprint metaitems... What about keeping huge battleships in your pocket promotes good gameplay? I understand that shipyards are buggy, and people are rightly afraid of them...

      No, that's not an alternative, unless you are suggesting that a shop owner be able to pull materials from someone's storage at will in exchange for credits. And that's horrible, and probably not what you're saying. :P

      No, it would create more restriction in what a given weapon could look like. The hovering ball turrets I use for multiple applications, including PD and long-range cannons, would not be as efficient any more (they're already inefficient, actually, and this would make things worse)... Neither...

      Changing weapon stats based on shape generally is not considered a very good idea, as not every ship can fit a weapon that's of the right shape to do what you want it to do.

      That is not how shops work any more. They use cargo capacity just like storages, factories, or anything else that holds blocks. (Actually, they can go over capacity, but they will stop functioning until more space is added.)

      Thinking of angles in degrees is strange. If they weren't a standardized unit, I don't think most people would be doing their angles in 1/360'ths. (1/120 increments are OK in a lot of cases, for instance)

      Let beams preserve their firing arcs; remove it (or drastically reduce it) from other weapons. Maybe anything with a beam secondary system gets a small firing arc as well? It'd kind of fit the whole "sniper" idea...

      Ultimately what he's talking about is ships being able to fly into a hangar in the first place when a ship is moving, so that you can land on a dock or whatever. Currently your mothership has to be sitting still to do anything inside a hangar that isn't on rails.
