I would think a bomber would probably use missile/beam/pierce, split up among maybe 3 or 4 computers (to save on the power multiplier). The missiles should be as big as you can fit in the shell while still having shields, ion, and the power to support the missiles.

While I'd love some better sound effects, the lack of good sound is NOT the reason PvP is boring at the moment.

I think all it needs it a bit more glass in the cockpit area and it'd look a lot better as a fighter.

I have a feeling that the boost to suns was just a little content to hold us over while Schema continues to implement fleet features.

Turrets get confused by an overabundance of targets and are largely ineffective. Swarm missiles tend to go after a single target, meaning you generally have difficulty taking drones out with swarmers. Yeah, just have a second drone swarm to smash into the first one. That sounds great. And laggy.

One thing I'm worried about is drones being EXTREMELY OVERPOWERED once we get fleet control. Seriously, why would I fly a big ship when it only takes ~30% of its mass in drones to kill it?

From what I've seen, it's incredibly unwise in the longterm to fly something you can't afford to lose. I've seen solo serversiders quit the game after losing that 25 million block supertitan they worked so hard to get.

Anything that boosts smaller factions will generally also boost larger factions. I'm going to assume there's also going to be something preventing single players from being important, because seriously, single players should not be important outside of singleplayer. Losing will always be more...

I meant it was expensive more in that no one will afford it reasonably. I mean, sure, you could TRY to make a fleet of 10 million block ships, but that'd be hilariously expensive, and definitely more than the average faction will be able to afford, especially once territory becomes a thing and...

Since OAS and Odium are on both SS and GenX, does this mean we're having the first multi-server war in forever? In both of your current states on SS, though, that war seems a bit boring. Kha'ak has some (damaged) miners, and Dread Syndicate's got a small station with a miner or two. I'm sure...
