this is actually a game mechanic - shops prices are based upon their stock, so if they have a lot of items, they buy for a cheap price and if they have few they buy for an expensive price. it's trade running, and exists also in the game elite dangerous;

all of them work fine to be honest :)

oh yeah i think you should be able to see them 2-5x the current distance, however i do think that you should still only render things like it is now.

I am guessing they killed you with a missile (since you said you died suddenly). The do you really want to do that thing is a kind of tool the prevents you from jumping out of your ship if you are travelling at high speeds which prevents you from flying 2 km away when you are travelling at high...
