      better idea would be a logic activated alarm sound block so we can use it for other stuff, and have a logic system that outputs a signal depending on the state of the ship. Perhaps, we could place an activator next to shields and have those activate the activator when the ship is under fire.

      sure, ships disappearing is a pain, but tjis would not help. the game already is storing a local cache. adding a second would not do anything. i would rather the time be spent fixing the bug than implementing a semi fix that wouldn't really help.
