Just to clarify since Sachys asks if in your server config.cfg unfactioned fleets are set to enabled.
ONLY_ALLOW_FACTION_SHIPS_ADDED_TO_FLEET = false //only allows faction ships to be added to fleet
In my downloaded game this is default false. "horrible if a server owner hits create server...
The idea is good but i don't think StarMade understands entities in this way. That is why i didn't add a like. Every entity "core" can have 2 mil regeneration they are stand alone. How does the game tell them apart or add them while docked? I could be wrong but i think it would require major...
Philthy Mcnasty beat me to it. (y)
Edymnion doesn't mean the traditional docked reactor that used logic and a power supply beam.
What you see now is that people dock extra pieces with power modules to the main body of the ship. And then dock their turrets to that. This way all power generation...
No you have the choice to build one as complex as you like but it should never be mandatory. Veteran starmade players can and will build complex wonders. But it should not effect new players from getting to grips with the game regardless of ships size.
Removing that weight/mass effects energy...
It is a nice idea but also adds another level of complexity. Starmade has to much of that already. Getting your ship to move is a basic necessity it needs to be strait forward. Leave the complex stuff to logic.
This all started with the cargo update making mass/weight effect a ships energy use. We have the armor effect thread which also boils down to weight. My Battlecruiser sports normal hull because advanced armor turns it in a powerless brick.
Remove that mass/weight effects the ships energy use...
Well the exactly....
It's a bit shady territory here it works different on every weapon system:
On missiles it increases the blast radius of the missile explosion. So more blocks take damage. The famous nuke/hulk missile being missile + pulse + explosion effect.
On cannon you get splash...
Just place the public permission module next to the rail and it should work. Same if you place it next to a gravity module or a logic button to open doors.
Starmade is terrible inconsistent i to expected to have to C and V it. The first time i use one. But that is not the case. It can be confusing.
Beware that if you give the AI heatseeker missiles then they will attack themselves. It will also lead to missile spawn if lots of pirates spawn so no heatseekers for pirates. The default Isanth Pirate also has a MM version. So even if you use just the defaults it's best to disable enemy use of...
This is in the game if you think out of the box. Shops have a server option where you buy blueprints with credits.
If Schema were to add buying filled blueprints with credits to shop blocks then it would enable you to sell ships. This has to be a different setting from the normal in game shops...
You are not derailing the thread since this how to fix the issue. One of the hardest things to understand about StarMade is how nothing is fixed. Players and Admins figure that when you start StarMade. That the universe and all things in it are fixed. Nothing in this game has fixed values. And...
That's a little nasty. :-p If i have set a limit then those ships not functioning is enough. The player can then rework them until they become under the limit at which point everything should work again.
It is about the admin getting better tools to run the server. I need more control over the...
Max size limit for individual AI controlled ships.
The same way it is now done for player controlled ships. A ship over said limit should not function even if used as an AI ship.
This will give better admin control since it will effect all AI ships and not alone those in fleets.
Big sectors hold more chunks and can get heavy to compute. Peoples individual render distance can also become an issue. Since a player exists in a 3 by 3 by 3 sector box. Seeing everything in that 27 sector box is a must if you want to do any sort of serious fighting.
On jump drives beware that...
This may or may not help just pointing to where some stuff can be found. ;)
Look in the directory Starmade - data - models
All the standard StarMade tools are there. Both in the gear and character folder.
Starmade - data - config
Holds all the .xml files that tells Starmade how stuff must...
In single player you are the admin. Check the blueprints catalog admin tab. You should have complete access.
In the catalog.cat file is listed who owns each blueprint and how it's used like enemy use. If you start a new world then you need to copy this file over to the new map. Else all...
Totally agree. And not just for the scanner. If you go to the diplomatic faction menu and look up Home Base coordinates. Then i just want to be able to click those and have my navigation take me there. Punching in the numbers is a real pain. It will also make the game a little more user...
That is some very clever use of the short weapon range pulse has. I love creative solutions like this. May i ask on what server i can find these nastly little buggers?
Also i'm so gona try that on some drones to use as a fleet!
