hopefully schema can get the AI to intelligently recognize how to orient the ship to allow for a smooth docking sequence. i'm also guess that if this works out it will pave the way for the "Return to Dock" command for the AI that every ones been begging for.
also, do the docking blocks have to...
You could say that...
But in all honesty i went in knowing that it could potentially be lagtastic weapon. but i made sure to minimize the lag by only having the skewers extend for a brief moment to stop a targets momentum.
fortunately from all the tests that I've done if configured right the...
GET THIS MAN AN INTERNET! HES EARNED IT!
I just have some concerns of the way we'll be docking. Will we be able to align to an entity with "C"? the only good thing about the old system was that we didn't have to deal with properly positioning our ships with the mothership if the mothership was...
I have been summoned!
Damage pulses indeed do kind of suck right now but if used on unshielded ships they can be really devastating. You can completely automate the triggering by connecting the damage pulse computer to a area trigger controller monostable circuit. then hook some area triggers...
you could've just compared it to the station contest. We didnt just vote for 1 station in each category, we got 5 choices.
also will there be a maximum amount of seats up for grabs? if everyone and their mother decides to join we would have to vote for something like 50-100 councilors?
its too early to say, but i would imagine that the platform would be the one that costs energy to move. bigger platforms would cost more but i really don't expect rails to cost energy in order to activate them. though even if they do it should be small since all it is is just a means of...
Push/pull beams can be extremely unpredictable and the speed that it pushes something can be completely different from ship to ship. My hopes is that the rail system will allow for more consistent launching no mater the size of the ship.
so a public debate would act as kind of a character assessment?. I'm down with that but ultimately schine has the final say in everything. That CoC makes it petty clear that council members are NOT members of the Schine team and any member who goes around rubbing their title in peoples faces...
I was kind of thinking that this be coupled with the spread accuracy being tied to the missile slave ratio. Lower missile slave ratios will yield better accuracy but have less pellets and thus its best suited for hitting targets at range. while at a 1:1 ratio the spread is huge but the trade off...
would adding scaling bonus damage to the amount of pellets from a single volley that hit a target help? Basically the more pellets that hit a target the more damage they all do.
im not sure what an open debate would accomplish. If I understand the Council's job properly, all we're doing is applying to be is the Officially sanctioned PR team.
It would be our job to relay the community's concerns to Schine and conversely relay Schines intentions to the community.
Its...
I've recently made some kamikaze pirates that make use of defensive push clocks. Wonder what would happen if I stack a dozen of them together and attach a timer to their docks
*Laughs manically internally*
also from some of the experiments that ive done in order to get a better collision rate...
we should be able to make dungeon like adventures when the quest system gets added.
I made my Lost Shangra-La station explicitly to be a kind of mini-adventure map even though theres no traps present I totally plan on making an adventure mission if and when we can make Locked doors
Doom cubers will always build doom cubes. the only thing we should be concerned with is wether a system change would make doom cubes easier and more desirable to make over an awesome well designed ship.
i have a few modular weapon systems. I call them Auto cannons. They have a lot of...
