This is not true. The medium turrets on my ships can reach up to 1,500 meters away. They can easily shoot things in the adjacent sectors.

Sounds interesing! And yes, some diversity in the universe the farther you venture from spawn would be fun. I wouldn\'t mind trying this once FTL is implemented.
