Schine used to use Mushroom fleet and people related to them for alot of the videos they used for promotion. Many people, myself included, felt like it was schine unfairly releasing information to them simply because they are friendly. It went on for ages, and lots of people got angry.
it's been popular, but it sort of died off because its not changed that much. Sure, lots of features got added, but its mostly fluff. There still isn't much gameplay in the vanilla game.
1. Factions are a big part of the community. They're not very fleshed out mechanics wise, but they exist and are the only real alternative to creative gameplay

Are power capacitors getting emisive? if so, are you going to remove the silly green glow? Looks so silly when you nuke a ship and it glows green rather than red ^_^
The universe contains a catalog file, upload the server-database and blueprints folders at the same time and everything should work, with permissions and ownership perfectly fine.
I had a thought about this awhile back. I don't think its something that should be in the default game, but I expect the modding API will make it very possible.
