All my ship mainguns are designed for the 400DMG butter zone so that does leave some range concerns on the larger ships. Have you ever done combat runs agianst a VFW Nocturne HDE? The range on the four main turrets is extreamly frightening.
I\'d have to find the thing first... I left it on a plannet when I was testing an experimental (failed) drop pod for it...
I\'m visiting family for thanksgiving though so I won\'t have time to find it this week.
The missiles on my Goshawk Heavy Fighter work fairly well, it has \"gun pods\" instead of direct fire guns. If the gunpods do their job you can fire the missile payload that the pilot controls. Other than that I like having direct fire weapons on my ships and I hate that you have to stop...
I tried splitting up the missiles in my missile rack turrets but I don\'t know how I feel about it. It should be dealing twice the damage with all the other stats half as much. With a single pack the radius, speed, and reload speed are twice that of individual missiles and individual missiles...
Today I actually just refit the Scycle with my new heavier standard turrets and replaced the missile racks with better shielded ones. Eventually I\'ll get around to cataloging my turrets so you can download them directly.
I\'m also currently building the UCC Hammer Light Carrier, there is a...
I was quite amazed at first when I realized that the Seeker was \"overheating\" and the Shortsword was still circling it\'s victim. The damage to the Seeker is not as superficial as it looks in the picture, there is in fact quite a large (2x2) hole bored through to the core. The main guns deal...
No, I don\'t think you know of this \"competitor\" at all
With nothing but AI at the helm the main guns on the Shortsword really decided this battle. The turrets on the Seeker are more then a match for this gunboat but the AI kept distance between the two ships which put the seeker at the...
Presenting The LC-14117-A1 Shortsword Heavy Gunboat
During combat trials between the UCS and a certain competitor a need for a ship to bridge the gap between the Dagger and Longsword was made apparent to us and thus the Shortsword was developed.
The Shortsword packs nearly an identical...
Yeah medical ships can be a bit tough, most people can\'t get past the \"this ship has no function\" of typical medical ships. Just building a creative ship that is an ambulance or field hospital is reason enough for me to make one without any game mechanic built into it\'s purpose. I like the...
While British ambulances may feature the green/yellow pattern traditional hospital ships always use a redcross. The Febris isn\'t simply an ambulance, but I guess it is your ship to decorate how you like.

Any pictures of the interior of the Febris? Or better yet a download?
You\'re also the first ship maker (That I\'ve noticed anyway) to not get the aviation/nautical standard lighting backwards.
Well yeah not all blocks can be replaced with wedges without exposing something but typically the flat sides of wedges can hide parts fairly well. If adding wedges does expand the ship perhaps some of the hull blocks that are not exposed can be replaced with more power and engines to offset the...
They funtion exactly the same as regular blocks but sloped, they do not have less durability or anything. Why not replace some blocks with the sloped vesion to create less jagged ships at no increase in mass.
Also not all stealth fighters are hullless, sure most use only power blocks but that...
So today I wanted to try and play around with some AI ships in combat, I wanted to be able to set the battle up before hand and use the command to make them enemies so they will fight for my enjoyment. To do this without being involved in the fight myself I wanted to make two test factions, I...
The pirates I\'ve added to my game:
These little things were better before the 100% turret accuracy bug, dogfights with them were always a challenge because of their small size but good firepower. Now all they do is suicide run my turret defenses and are always core drilled and dead before...
They still will not fire at other turrets even when targeted. Docked ships do not register as available targets to the turret AI. They\'ll look at them and twitch but never fire.
