indeed, what plusnine said. however rails transitioning between entities is planned.
in the mean time rail docked entities can transition from horizontal movement to vertical and vise versa provided they rail docker has enough clearance

I vaguely recall some one from schine (kupu was it?) said something to the effect that restricting player input for doors (minecraft style iron doors) would be difficult atm to implement but not impossible.
I actually discovered this too. you can also stack multiple turrets by continuously extending the cross enabling potentially unlimited gyroscopic turrets.
