What are the current plans for communication between the council and the Schine Team? Will there be weekly meetings? If yes, will they have logs? Are they open to the public? While I know that there are sensitive topics that can not be published, I hope that there are at least monthly meetings...
I assume you get fps drops because of the collission detection (which needs to happen even if you turn off beams in gfx settings). So unless salvaging (or beams in general) get a complete overhaul to how they work, simply drawing the beams differently will probably have no effect.

Well aren't weapons the least vital system on your ship? If I put my weapons at the center of the ship, it just means that other systems are more exposed, which means they get destroyed first. I'd rather have my weapons blown away and still have a chance at retreat than lose my reactor first and...
What about ships that have separate parts by design, Rayman style? I actually had some ideas for a ship like this in mind. How do we handle that situation?

I would suggest shots can not pass through other modules/systems. That way, you can put as much decorative/armour blocks in front of a weapon as you want, but if you put weapons at the end of your ship, everything in front of them cannot be systems, which means you either lack those systems or...
