Lovely speech (ah, the slow clapping processor is still active on my computer). You just forgot the speed is always in a certain direction. Changing your does actually cause your (in this case) ship to accelerate in a different direction, but it is acceleration nonetheless.
I'm willing to bet that schema is going to add something to make the space around in and around planet sectors less empty. That being said, moons and asteroid belts have a high probability of being implemented (IMO).
Do you have any idea how much still needs to be done before starmade can officially be called the best game ever?
The things I know are going to be added/done:
Changes to the crafting system. *
New default stations. *
Galaxies and who knows what else in the universe update. *
Dynamic (recipe...
I don't know if you know this (but you probably do), but bench has a tutorial on that.
It shouldn't lag too much, unless you go crazy with a couple of thousand updating at once.
I'm almost certain that schema will try to rework the planets as much as possible.
@Amedeus I have two things to say:
@WaffulMann is kind of right, people want to be able to shoot planets from afar and your atmosphere obscuring would kind of hinder that.
The game can easily load the chunks as...
Noooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!
Not the cubatom again! Just no! No! No! No! No!
I hate, and I mean really hate, that crafting system. SO PLEASE DO NOT EVEN THINK OF ADDING THIS TO THIS GAME AGAIN!
It failed in every aspect, and thr new one is much better.
And I know you weren't aware of the old...
Already done. The occlusion culling takes care of that problem. Unfortunately it doesn't see the planet core and segments as one entity, which results in it trying to load all the segments even if you can't see them. The game really needs to see the planets as one entity before anything else...
Ever tried making a huge array of the same weapons in lighten mode? It is impossible to see what you are doing. There really needs to be a texrure difference between blocks on the same face too.
Just a random teleportation somewhere. Is cool and make the game more interesting. It was suggested before though, but nevertheless a good idea.
+1 like to you.
I believe I read something in the original post of the thrust mechanics explained thread that could suggest this.
(Searching starmadedock.net)
Ah, here it is:
This seems to suggest something similar to angular acceleration. I'm obviously not certain if it will be added, since it was explaining...
