So if AMCs are nerfed, what keeps me from building a bigger one with the same damage? or better yet separating all of the blocks to make a more powerful one? someone will build a bigger ship, and you will have the same dilema.

Yes, missiles should be the ones that melt the hull and destroy the inside, AMCs can do it just as well though and are required to take out the shields in the first place, so why should they also do so much damage to hull?
48 arrays of 250 blocks (400 damage) will use 1,194,029.85 power per second and will fire a total of 477.6 seperate shots a second. Since each of those can kill any block I fail to see how you are having any issue gutting a ship unless you are having problems hitting it to begin with.
You can turn down the automatic deceleration in the server config. Setting it to very low makes it much more spacey, just watch out what you run into and don\'t accidently eject yourself from your ship :)

Why use missiles when you can just use AMCs instead? No need to wait for cooldowns, or lock on targets, they are faster and stronger.
Yep I agree, severly reducing their damage output is more of a stop gap for the issue since shields have already been reduced so much, plus it would make hull worthwhile without having to massivly increase its HP and armor (armour).

I can show you what a well designed ship can do with layers of hardened hull and shields around the inside.
Those layers aren\'t doing jack. Might as well just put more shields since they will both be destroyed in the same amount of time, but at least the shields help boost your initial shield...
Looks like the speed has changed from when I last tested, it used to be that it was matching up 1:10 with the speed of the ship vs the Speed rating in the weapon menu, so 2.2 in weapon would be ~ 22 in the top info bar.
Seems that now even 50 missiles will fire out in front of the ship instead...
Does your laptop use optimus for switching between low graphics and gaming mode? If so, can you try forcing it on?

I meant 50m/s being worthlessly slow because most servers have 75+, or at least 60+, and that was @ 1000 missiles. Also not sure what the turn speed of missiles is, so you might be able to avoid them by making sharp turns as well (or flying at them and moving out of the way)

90% sounds like a lot, but as I pointed out, its not really that big of a decrease overall because they are so overpowered right now.
Also there shouldn\'t be any extra hull destroying power from AMCs, destroying hull should be what missiles are good at.
