You are the 3 person i am telling this today: schema actually fixed a bug this update, which caused the docking to be calculated incorrectly, thus allowing the turrets to fit in docks where the actually didnt. Now this bug exists no more, so if a turret doesnt fit it means it never fitted there...

Docking is broken no more, the problem is that it was broken before, allowing to dock ships and turrets that actually exceeded the size limit. So you can just build turrets with core in center(and of course in lowest layer), and docking will work succesfuly.

Black and blue hull will be the best. Also, I like ships that have some shapes on their sides, like Minotaur battlecruiser or Barracuda Commandship. E.g Adimo Libezia is awfuly shaped in my opinion.

I need a heavy frigate - light cruiser (approximately 21000-25000 blocks) with a faction module that has a price under 15 million.

The problem is that the core is in the center of the green box, not the center of the blue box. As far as I know, it is a feature, not a bug.

You tried the right way. The problen is either with the update, your game files, your PC, or any combination of the 3. Just send a crash report when it crashes, and write a few first letters of the used email to this thread
