I\'m not sure wheels would work out so well with the whole block design of the game. I was thinking something like hovercraft with a hovercraft core instead of a ship core. They\'d just float right above the ground, you could hold a button to temporarily raise yourself up to two or possibly...
Oh god, imagine players purposefully driving ships infested with aliens and spreading the infestation to other players ships and stations. The problem with cool ideas like this is you just know \"those\" people are going to make it into the ultimate griefing tool.
I was one of those annoyed people so I made up a quick Icon. I\'ll share it here for those that want an alternative to the StarMade logo.

I started a similar design to this and just pictured in my head a far larger disc version that just slid right over a planet and mined it in seconds. Someday.............
I see you really like your RPGs, haha. Once again, I like some parts of this idea (adding proper NPCs to the game), but I have to disagree with the more \"RPG\" related aspects. I like my RPGs too but not every game needs to be one, in my opinion.
The only problem I see with cube worlds or any world with gravity pulling from multiple direction is..... what happens if you\'re at the center?
EDIT: Clearly I should have read the OP a bit better. He suggests a molten center so I guess the answer to my question is \"you melt.\"
On that note...
No I don't mean axes as in bladed thing you chop with. I mean the plural for axis (X,Y,Z).
It would be a huge help if the 3D map had the XYZ axes labelled so we could easily see which way is X+/Z+ and X-/Z-. Right now the only axis you can easily identify is the Y axis because it's impossible...
Many of the games I\'ve been in the alpha or even beta Test for purposefully made getting money and supplies easy so that players could quickly reach the end game and start actually testing things. It makes sense really.
I was doing a bit of testing earlier to figure out how different elements group together because the varying reports from different pages was confusing me (I\'m new to this game). I came across this page while browsing the forums and your formula for power tanks seems to be a bit off. I\'m about...
I changed my controls to the same as I used in Evochron. Q and E are forward and back, WASD are my strafe keys, X and C are roll with Z as reposition (feels more natural, I kept accidentally hitting reposition when it was C).
Remote doors and possibly macros for chaining control blocks together (in this case a chain of Door>undock, a more advanced example could be undock>plexlifter>door1>door2>door3 to make that classic chain-of-doors launch tube for fighter ships) would be awesome.
I\'d be happy with larger 3D planets but I understand that\'s quite difficult to pull off considering the style of the game. Cubes and all that. I suppose I can settle for these suggestions.
Placing thrusters on asteroids sounds awesome. Maybe not as a way to make a quick ship but imagine placing thrusters on an asteroid, then flying it right into a space station.... ahh, I can dream right?
I agree with the AMC thing but on the \"faster but weaker\" AMC part you do know you can redistribute power to on weapons systems among Power, Range, Speed, and Reload right?
The weapon I really want to see is like a charged beam cannon fitting for a massive battle station. Something with...
