Wow when I stumbled upon this it didn't nearly give me the results that you got, it did reduce damage but was like only 2-3 less layers removed. Maybe I did something wrong, your results are way better.
I think they were just annoyed that it was posted in so many threads including their own, but theit proper course of action is to delete spam posts not to complain about them I think. Just delete it and move on, with a subtle message being sent to the poster that the spam was unwanted.
That sounds awesome! And it might be less work in the long run too, especially if there is a gif function that allows you to "scroll forwards in time" and see how many steps the distributive vote method took!
