      I've only had it happen when building a lot at once. Generally this means the chunk isn't loaded. I usually just build out to connect the floating piece and its fine. Is this similar?

      Whatever your input block is, just slave to an inner ship remote. You can slave multiple outputs to one block.

      This is the best thing I've heard for SHP so far. I'll leave quarters to do people detection later.
