      Totally false. People will play the game regardless of whether a faction list is waved around in their face or not. Are you trying to say that the community is only made up of faction soldiers and everyone else doesn't count for anything?

      Faction gameplay is also a sandbox aspect. I'll simply repeat that we shouldn't be trying to encourage any singular aspects of the game beyond doing whatever you feel like. There should be no faction browser, but there should be some instructions on how to join a faction.

      Starmade is a sandbox, not a scifi war simulator. Warfare is only one of the possible aspects of the game. Most people are okay with fighting sometimes, but prefer to do it when they feel like it. Many, many people do not share your beliefs, Blackhawk.

      Shields regenerate and have different defense values against different weapons. Armor HP has to be boosted again by hand.

      He's talking about nerfing large groups of weapons with diminishing returns, and nerfing shields to compensate. That'd just be a MAJOR buff to checkerboard spam guns again.

      Not a fan of the mass-based turning thing. If anything, a ship with longer dimensions and thrusters placed further from the center of mass should be faster at turning.

      That would require massive amounts of chunk updates to run well, and it wouldn't be capable of functioning as an AI system unless we simulated an entire computer inside of it.

      Hey, that ship's got no trouble taking down 12k mass ships on its own. The turrets you can place on a ship that small aren't numerous or big enough to effectively kill that many drones, and the main guns can't get a good bead on that many drones. The drones took 60% losses though.

      24 80 mass drones can kill a 6k mass ship. That's substantially lower mass total.
