The GUI is just something schema wanted to show you guys some progress on. By no means does it mean he's decided to drop everyone's concerns about blueprints. The great grey one hears your pleas. :schema:
Imagine if you could take a logic setup and stuff it into a box that moved around and actually did stuff. You'd be near the scrum but not close enough to hear the actual play. But yeah, spoiler alert: LUA based NPC control.
I dunno. aceface made a space engineer template pack which I think is pretty good at making ships on the fly. For those used to the SE way of doing things they can use that as a sort of training wheels until they are ready to get into the REAL strengths of StarMade. It's a way to make those...
No one respects a PvP ship that's a big death brick. The only time having blocks so clustered together is even slightly acceptable is when the ship is drone sized. Any ship bigger than 100 meters in any direction really should have some sort of interior. A flight deck, maybe a crew quarters. A...
NOTE: The above instructions only help you if you are a server admin or use only single player mode. Changing your config locally will have no effect on how the server uses blueprints.
This can be a very useful set of info for Intel and Mac users especially. For PC users avoid using the update tool from Intel. It usually grabs the most stable version or the last one that matches your OEM's whitelist. Which ever is worst it seems. Let me start with this one I have...
My solution is progressive BPs. Stage 1-4. As I find the parts to finish out stage 2 (while flying the stage 1 version) I slowly round out what I need for the other stages too. Worst case I'll have to salvage the ship, drop it into stage 2, spawn it, recycle it and then drop its parts into w/e...
Update to Java 64bit if you are using Windows 64bit. Then make sure the drivers are the most bleeding up to date version especially if you are using an Intel i-series.
You MUST match editions. Always use 64bit with 64bit. This includes your Java AND drivers.
Raptr does not have StarMade as part of its config DB. Yet. But seeing what other games use in optimal configurations might give you some hints on what to nail down so your SM config behaves better.
I'd highly recommend Raptr to anyone with AMD based GPUs or (and especially) APUs. It acts like Geforce Experience with slightly more stability in that it informs you of updates and helps optimize games for your specific hardware. I've even used Raptr on purely Intel machines with a degree of...
Can I get you to tell me what version of SM you are running, what hardware you are using including the CPU and GPU plus the version/edition of windows you're using.
You can get most if not all that info from Dxdiag. In the start menu type RUN when the box pops up type DXDIAG and let it run. The...
One does not simply 'remove servers'. It's been pointed out they are all independently owned and operated. It's up to the user (thatsa YOU) to make an informed decision on the server they join. There's usually links in the description to the server's webpage or forum. Good place to start. And...
The idea has been passed around to allow one server to connect to others via a warp-gate like dealie. This would allow two identically configured servers and their universes to be linked. Logging into your home on Server A while your character is in Server B will just forward you to Server B. If...
I've used fraps and OBS AND shadowplay. Shadowplay doesn't seem to work with StarMade and if you have to tab out at anytime you can say goodbye to your recording. Fraps works really well but the files it produces are inglorious. Output to a USB 3.0 or internal secondary SATA2/3 are the only way...
Our more conscientious forum goers realize that something they are posting might be taken to a greater degree than their context allows. Maybe it's off topic. Maybe it's a macro'd image of a tired meme. Regardless.. if they are about to subject you to a strong opinion they might place it in a...
