Perhaps give warpgates dramatically longer ranges when linked, and perhaps lower power costs to warp per mass. Aside from that, I like it. Turn them into genuinely viable super jumps.
I think that this should also be a server config option, though. There are servers out there which would be...
Doubt it.
450 isn't a bad speed limit, and I've been seeing servers that allow players to fly that fast easily. 120/450 is a pretty good compromise, unless you're suggesting lowering the speed limit, which in turn would nerf the hell out of missiles.
Aaaand I have finally submitted the final version of the ship. There's nothing absolutely critical left for me to fix, repair, or improve anymore - thank god. At least, I don't think so. Watch me think of something I need to fix a week after the submission deadline.
Of course. I'm mostly referring to people who destroy warpgate stations for zero gain when not engaged in war.
Warpgates are completely nonviable without admin protection or homebase protection at the moment because any jackass with a warhead stick can find and destroy them with zero difficulty...
have you ever heard of galaxy maps and griefers
EDIT:
If someone who already knows this stuff could post a table of timing delays for common clock systems, that'd be great. Most of us don't have a computer or reaction time good enough to use a stopwatch to count.
100% speed rail rotator...
>feature not working as intended
>unintended mechanics that improve quality of life for everybody by reducing reliance on lagmaking logic amplifiers
>remove feature entirely
>"we fixed it"
by what measurement is using an existing mechanic an exploit?
Does that mean that using rail rotators, rail basics, or literally anything other than delays to crank up clock speed is also an exploit?
A lot of modern logic clocks feature two shootout rails aimed at eachother. I have reason to believe that the fixes applied in this bugfix caused the bug in which those are now completely broken.
The docked bit bouncing between two shootout rails now gets undocked with some sort of NaN error...
Aaaand ship submitted. \o/
I could've probably minmaxed it a bit more, but frankly, I'm too busy for that lately. Going to miss killing everybody with teamwork.
