I ask myself the same question every day. The game could really flourish and there could be some really cool servers if everyone wasn't so hostile to the idea of not having 400m capital ships with enormous guns that do everything well.

I've built two of the above, and in ground battles they're actually pretty solid if movement is controlled by a player while the shooting is controlled by AI. But, since no one does ground battles... why bother?
