      Faction points is essentially a place holder system for an over arching mechanic and will change substantially in the future. This is why you don't see it developed on much or at all. It's been talked about at length, and we have a system "designed" it's waiting on other parts of the game though.

      We'll mostly be focusing on the same size universe we have now, other galaxies function has been discussed at length but is not set in stone. Many changes are happening in this phase where we update the Galaxy so we'd like to see how those shake down first, before we plan too far ahead.

      Power is soon, pre-release needs to stabilize before release, then the next dev builds will likely be power and more bug fixes. We'll have news on planets and universe update when we can. Some of it is still in planning.

      If it was that simple in Starmade we would have done it a long time ago. Development is based on known dependencies. While I can't say how and in what way. The universe update aims to address these concerns in a very starmade way. It's taking a bit of planning though.

      All bug tickets in phabricator (Phabricator) start as private until reviewed by Lancake or Andy. If these are deemed an exploit they are not made public. All other tickets are made public. For a reporting tool, use phabricator.

      When/if this happens again grabs the entire log folder in the starmade install folder and zip it. Then post it here. Then try a full reboot to see if it fixes it. It use to happen a lot but some recent changes actually made it happen less.

      Keep in mind that LoD simplified meshes would be used for objects much farther away then full block rendering. That's the idea of level of detail systems in any game.       These meshes are very very small compared to any ship currently in game, especially after the optimization process. The edge shader itself, from what I understand, is quite quick as well. I don't have numbers for you, but we don't see it impacting framerate much. Testing will show bottlenecks...

      I've had it happen as well. I'd appreciate a new thread, tag me in it. There is a small but annoying but that I run into (hard to track down) that requires a reboot and I'd love to see if that fixes it for you as well.
