Personally I think chain drives should be phased out in favor of an actual feature of the game that performs a similar function with far less hassle. How the devs will go about doing this, if they do, is anybody's guess.

Sounds good to me. I've had a decent amount of experience with ship blueprint stealing and frankly it has been one of the more frustrating things I've had to deal with. Something like this would really help out my time administrating the NFD build server.
