If the problem is hit detection, would it be possible to still detect collisions on the blocks, but display the sheild hit animation a certain distace away from the ship? It would be purely a visual thing, so none of the fancy stuff i've seen suggested before like flying inside the shields...

It will have a name, but it'll be longer than tetra, every shape can be described with a long enough string of words. My favourite the shape of a pringle, hyperbolic paraboloid :D But i don't want a block in the game to have a name that long!

Do they actually load in facing the C direction though? Or 90 degrees to it like they do when you originally build it? If its different thats still a big problem
