What if protected asteroids didn't cause collision damage?

I think that asteroids should be claimable as faction (home or not) bases. Asteroids should also be able to use the same blocks as stations and planets can, and be able to be given shields and power. Also, plex doors should be fixed on them, as they are currently very buggy.

I think 1/4th blocks would be best, if this is even possible. 1/10th is a little too small, and the smaller they are, the laggier the game would be. The game might simply be unable to do this kind of sub blocks with multiple per standard block space. Small ships can easily be made to look nice...

I'd rather not have FTL be like cloaking, in that if you want to be able to use it, you need to make your ship ugly and made of power bricks.

I actually kind of liked the old hulls. The normal looked like a bunch of scrap thrown together for makeshift armor, while hardened looked better constructed. The textures themselves were bad, yeah, but I liked the "vibe" of sorts they had.

Why should every planet have a standardized oxygen atmosphere? That's rather boring, and also illogical.

Both, really. I don't think there's enough material in solar system in both real life or starmade to enclose a star, although its much easier to import material from other systems in starmade. If you add in all the blocks in shops, maybe there's enough material.

That's a good point, that I didn't think of. I mean, most people think "crazy people" when they hear insane, but others might think of something along the lines of "woh that cool thing you did was totally insane".

What do you guys think of the new rating system on the forums? I love it. I especially like the "bad spelling" one.
