if theres anymore supporters out there i would like to see what the other star ship captians have in mind for a feature like this if they incorporate it
my mother ship isnt exactly a planet sized ship its the size of a CR90 Corvette in star wars, i went with a modified one for a basis and it was called the Far Star and these corvettes where equiped with landing struts. The only reason i call it a mother ship is because of its large hanger and...
i know what he\'s talking about i have a medium sized ship ive built and the core is not exsposed in any way and i try to dock my ship it says the target is not compatible. the should fix this and aslo make it possible for SD cockpits to be aimed.
i can see what your saying, but i have a faction who requested a very large ship needless not to say a mother ship and its just too big just to plop down if ya know what i mean.
Id rather not land on the belly of my ships since i tend to have both Dorsal And Ventral based auto turrets and i dont like building up the bottom so they dont get rested on.
i want to throw this curve ball in as well for landing gear. I know people are saying just dock the dag on thing but unless the planet your going to has a docking module with enough enhancers to handle your ship you can dock. and landing gear would be useful because some ships may have turrets...
unlike some people some space ships that people build are based on ones that do have lanidng gear like my new yt-2000 and i think that landing gear would e nice to have anyways because the size of a docking enhancer id need would be to large to even place some where.
i think landign gear would be a nice feature if you have survived an attack from pirates and can land on a planet for emergency repairs would be awesome.
as shown in wookieepedia: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Hyperdrive that hyper drives should be availible in a rated system the highest number being the slowest and the lowest the fastest and of course you may need to buy more than one for it or them to get your ship to jump into hyperspace, but...
im talking about for those instances where theres no docking module availible and you have to use gear. which is most often in my case since im a freighter/smuggler in the game.
Im that scoundral of a freighter pilot known as SkyHawk024, I build ships as close as possible to the one im basing it off of. I specialize in smaller Star Wars ships and the such. I'll make it short and to the point If you need it to get somewhere and the price is right it will get there.
i just thought of this as well what if some one has built a large enough ship that ahs hangers that can fit your ship you could always land in there with alnding gear if they some how make a slight gravity for ships in a ship. which would also be useful in a space station.
i agree with this because i build ships based on ones in star wars and most of them have docking clamps on the sides and top and bottom. which can make it difficult for a docking block to hand because of shear size!.
well radar would be nice but if you ever watched star wars or star trek voyager youd know sometimes ships dont land nin suitable spots they just plop em down on the flattest area large enough to hold there ships.
ive tried that comrade but im also asking for landing gear because as i said in a earlier post am looking forward to building a planetary based space port on a planets surface but that can be problematic if i have automated turrets on the bottoms of my ships. which will make my ship sit unevenly...
ok so i noticed alot of you want landing gear for mostly the same reasons i do to touch down softly and \"Majesticly\", and be able to land on a planet surface and such. But i also want to hear form those nic-picky ship builders the one that go done to the last grueling detail in there builds...
I can see what your saying about using plex doors as landing struts/gear but the only plem i see is youd have to have a computer in which you can assign to them so you can open your doors or lower your gear instead all of them at ounce so youd need I.E. a landing strut/gear computer and then a...
