Are you going to add a penalty for losing territory? (If it's possible to do that)
Just to make sure that shitters don't capture systems with two block stations, losing systems should HURT.
They have the effect of completely disabling the weapon or system it's linked to, I think that's already enough. What you want is quick cheap and easy kills. Instakills are bad.
And as I said, just use the torch on the enemy's core if you want to take the ship intact :P
Have you ever experienced core drilling? Trust me, single blocks crippling entire ships are NOT fun and suck for actual balance. If you want to capture a ship intact then board it. Gunning a ship until it's non-functional SHOULD make it look like swiss cheese.
Besides, there should still be a...
Your suggestion is pretty much the same thing in essence, except that the entire ship would get crippled (which is even worse). So the answer is no, sorry.
An overly large amount of butthurt, moderation, lack of reasons to fight and ships being a pain to produce with the current economy is what happened...
Exactly! Combat as a ressource sink. The problem with the vanilla game is that it's too much of a ressource sink, or rather ressources are too tedious to obtain for any serious combat (which is why renewable resources should be a thing). You countered the problem really nicely with the delta...
Yea, it just reminded me of the "sell L5 ore to shops for credits to buy ships" era (and with the ores being refined by level). Ofc you've got it balanced out WAAAAAY better, especially since there's no mass production loop exploit.
Looks promising, I can't wait to see how well it works out!
There's a difference between non-HD and this, it's just very very very poor digital video quality tbh. Considering that there's black and white videos in there (meaning tapes) the original quality was probably much higher. Making it smaller only makes it harder to see :/
Pretty interesting tbh, the "deltas" sort of remind me of the L1-5 ores of old. You clearly put some time and effort into this. +1
Also, I love that spinning alien statue thingy :p
And they can't be overtaken by a mutiny.
And their efficiency won't drop drastically if crew gets killed (because no crew).
And they won't have a running cost (hiring crew will cost credits).
And you won't have the added distraction of managing crew.
There's probably other reasons I didn't...
