I recall schema explaining that occlusion culling is really hard to get right. He managed to get it working properly fpr an update, but graphical optimizations in an other update caused occlusion culling to mess up. So with that in mind occlusion culling is probably a waste of time for schema at...
^ Exactly that.
Because the surfaces of the ship are all angled I couldn't just use advance build mode to place down chunks of systems, because a lot of them would be placed out of the ship. So I had to mold the interior of the ship with something to make it more blocky. The reason I used...
I'm not dead! And neither is the project!
It's been a while since I posted an update, and I apologize for that. I just took a serious motovational dip the last month (probably due to how tedious the shield molding was). Luckily that's pretty much done, and I'm now working on finishing up the...
I'm pretty sure that we wouldn't need a complex GUI for a system of individual perms. You'd just need a simple UI for the permission blocks that would enable you to select a rank. Things connected to that perm block would be locked to that rank, and the perm block couldn't be modified without...
I agree with NeonSturm here, your solution is pretty bad @Azeriah . There would be practically no point in having the "personal" setting if higher ranked faction members can have access to it anyways...
Basically: I don't want people to touch my stuff.
The faction permission module should enable you to set specific ranks to stuff. So for example, setting one up so that the faction module and build blocks are only accessible to high-ranks, while the station's faction module is set to low ranks and disables editing (building) for ranks less than...
Yea, missiles might seriously screw it up. But then again, it has a lot of armor, especially since the areas between the parts are armored, so that should significantly reduce the effectiveness of less powerful missiles (like those fired from other drones).
You mean destroy the station's faction block while you're online, and replace it?
Then I'd say that you did something wrong in letting the person do all that. If you're not established enough to defend yourself then you could just not make your station a homebase, that way the coordinates...
It's more the fact that everything he writes looks more like pseudo-code than an actual language. The individual sentences make sense, but the whole is just a pain in the *** to read because of the overall syntax and structure. A lot of people (me included) have just given up trying to decrypt...
