      As far as I know, the repair may only work on station entities, and turrets are counted as ship entities. Might just not be possible? I dunno. Could easily test if they need to be undocked as well.

      I vote for B, it seems like it would be a more satisfying method. A seems kinda cheap and cant quite say I'm a huge fan of turrets (they are kinda easy to knock out with smaller ships).

      I've only ever heard 2 major complaints of sorts; The Bars are too narrow, it would be harder to see them at a glace. The Nav icons were set to fade at a distance, which would make long range targeting a bigger problem then it is, since you cant see them.
